How to Use the On-Demand Library
There are currently 440 classes in the On-Demand Library, with new ones being added regularly. This Help menu should help you get oriented and practicing right away. Below you’ll find a detailed breakdown of the 6 main menus in the Library. Click on each one to pop up instructions, explanations and details on unique features in each menu.
If your time is limited, just take a quickly look at the BROWSE and SEARCH menu explanations, as that will get you started right away. And we always welcome questions, comments and suggestions for new classes—just drop us a note!

Individual Class Styles Explained
Individual classes are color-coded and organized by Style. See below for a description of each class type. These are complete classes.
Chair Yoga

On-Demand Home Page
This is the home page you’ll land on each time you log into your Membership. You can also get here anytime by clicking on the ON-DEMAND CLASSES menu, and choosing ON-DEMAND LIBRARY. The first thing you’ll notice below the main graphic is a new On-Demand Library menu; it looks like this:
You’ll notice that the Home menu—the little house icon—is highlighted in RED. In this help section, we’ll go through each Menu one by one, illustrating the various features you’ll find in each. Below here you’ll see a large picture of what the menu might look like, with large green number identifying important areas for that page. Refer to the numbers below and the graphic for an explanation of each feature.
- On-Demand Library Menu • This is the main navigation menu to access the Library.
- Start Here Video • In this short video, Ellen briefly outlines the Library features.
- Today’s Featured Class • This is a changing set of classes that Ellen has identified as notable. Look here each day for something new!
- Recent Library Additions • Here you’ll find the most recent 12 classes that we’ve added to the Library.

This menu offers great ways to take your practice a little bit deeper! Here you’ll find three sections: Special Series, Workshops and Yoga à la Carte. Use the buttons to jump to the style you’re looking for.
- Special Series • These each explore an aspect or topic of Yoga in greater detail through a series of classes.
- Workshops & Education • Each Workshop is a longer, deeper dive into a single subject; you’ll also find lectures and instruction videos in this category.
- Yoga à la Carte • These shorter videos are each a partial practice, usually focused on Movement, Relaxation or Mindfulness. You can bookmark your favorite Yoga à la Carte practices and combine them to make your own longer, personalized classes. You’ll see Yoga à la Carte practices sprinkled throughout the On-Demand Library; but here is a dedicated search area just for this sub-category.

With 440 classes to choose from, it can be a little daunting to know where to begin! So we designed the BROWSE menu to be a great entry point to start your exploration of the On-Demand Library. Below you’ll see that most classes are divided into three primary categories—what we call the three pillars of Gold Country Yoga: Movement, Relaxation and Mindfulness. And within these pillars are a number of sub-categories, many of which you’ll find on this page. This isn’t a complete list of all our classes, more like a series of easy-to-understand groupings to help you get oriented and start seeing which classes and styles you like.
Note that this menu is for browsing—like wandering through a store. If you know what you’re looking for, use the next menu SEARCH.
- Three Pillars of Gold Country Yoga • These are the 3 fundamental styles that most of our classes fall into. You can click on any link in these Pillars.
- Yoga Class Thumbnails • Each thumbnail represents a class, and you’ll see some relevant information in the image or just below it to help you understand a class’s Style, Level, Duration, etc. Click on any thumbnail to open the Class Page and play the video.
- Pagination • These numbers here represent the number of ‘pages’ of classes in this sub-category. You’ll see these numbers and arrows for all groupings of classes, just click on the arrows to jump to the next/previous set.

Here’s where you’ll find Ellen’s multi-day Yoga Challenges and Yoga Retreats. These are guided experiences from 7 to 28 days that Ellen has specifically chosen to help you explore a deeper experience of Yoga. You’ll find a wide range of topics and lengths here—from beginner to stronger practices, and from active to quiet and mindful. Some examples are:
- 7-Day Simple Strength Challenge • A great way to build strength without a lot of complicated postures.
- 14-Day Sleep Retreat • This is a collection of practices carefully chosen to help you sink into and stay more deeply asleep each night.
- 28-Day Yoga Everyday • This Challenge will help you build a daily home practice with accessible but structured practices each day.

Search Menu
Once you get more familiar with Ellen’s teaching style and classes, you’ll probably spend more time in the SEARCH menu. This grid of 12 class thumbnails allows you to search for anything in the On-Demand Library. You can either type something directly into the Search box, like “hips” or “yin yoga” or “active 3” — or anything you can think of. Clear the Search box to reset the viewer.
You can also use the drop-down menus from left to right to narrow your search. The biggest categories are on the left, and they get progressively finer as you move to the right. And, they’re additive; if you select options from several drop-downs, it will only show you classes with ALL three chosen attributes. Returns the menus to the default setting to reset the viewer.
Oh, and don’t forget to try a class with one of our cats!
- Drop-Down Filters • Moving left to right, select as many options as you like to narrow the number of classes in the viewer.
- Keyword Search Box • Type in any keyword, style, body part, etc. that you’re looking for. Remember all Search items add up, so return each area to the default state to reset the viewer.
- Search Results Viewer • The results of your Search options are displayed here.
