Finding Calm Within: Yoga Therapy for Anxiety
Life feels more uncertain than ever, and many of us are struggling to stay calm and grounded amidst daily challenges. Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm are natural responses to what we’re facing—but when anxiety takes hold, it can feel overwhelming. The tension in your chest, shoulders, and belly, the tightness of breath, and the racing heart can create a cycle of fear that feels hard to break.
It’s important to know: experiencing anxiety isn’t a problem. It’s a signal from your body that it needs support. Yet, instead of listening, we often distract ourselves or push through—when what we truly need is connection and care. Because anxiety is such a physical experience, the antidote isn’t in your mind but within your body.
In this 3-part series, you’ll learn how to reconnect with your body and find calm from within. Through gentle Yoga Therapy practices, you’ll discover movement and breathing techniques that soothe your body’s stress response and build resilience. Alongside this, we’ll explore the “why” behind your body’s reactions, empowering you with tools you can use in everyday life.
Each session will close with a 10-minute sharing circle, integrated into the 90-minute class, to reflect on key takeaways and connect with others. This time together can help deepen your experience and bring greater insight and healing.
This workshop is your invitation to step into a space of understanding, care, and calm. Your body already holds the key—you simply need to listen.
